My only attempt at a raglan for me. Narrow shoulders
and a big bust are too great a strain on the design, IMHO. But I wanted to
do a lace collar of this baby blanket edging (see my directions for the
Raspberry Wrap) the first time I saw it about 30 years ago. I knitted it
separately and sewed it on by hand, reinforcing the wide V-neckline with
nylon twill tape, a suggestion by Kim Salazar, on the *right* side of the
sweater so it wouldn't show or be scratchy. The lace panel on the front is
BW's Drooping Elm Leaves (1:217), done upside down. The ribbing on sleeves
and bottom is Single Eyelet Rib (1:46). Shortrow bust darts. The yarn is
Spectrum's Bouncing Babes, on #5 needles.
