Like the rest of California's population, the wildflowers include both natives and immigrants. Natives, such as the yellow Coreopsis -- according to my sources the common name is California Tickseed -- and immigrants such as the white Queen Anne's Lace, also known as the wild carrot. Here we see them both growing among a stand of wild oats, another European immigrant.
