California. Synonymous with flash, glitz, drama. Larger-than-life. Be it the tinsel and glitter of Hollywood, the boiling pace of Silicon Valley, the soaring peaks of the Sierra or the crashing waves along the Big Sur coast, the popular conception of California has an air of unreality about it.
