Living back away from the pavement leads one to be very aware of the state of the roads. The county doesn't come out here, so all road maintenance is done by the local landowners. It can be as simple as a little work with a small tractor or require the assistance of big yellow equipment.
This potential washout has been a problem all season. I've filled it in several times, but the soil gets saturated and simply slides out from under the barrier of old tires that's supposed to hold it up. Next time I'll try adding some cement to the dirt fill.
